Structural, Seismic and Geotechnical Engineering (SSGE) includes disciplines and techniques deeply rooted in the field of Civil Engineering, but also with important industrial applications, which allow to understand, model and control the behavior of structural materials, biomaterials, metamaterials, soils, structures, microsystems and the interaction between external environment and buildings. This is a highly interdisciplinary field, which requires advanced analysis methods and sophisticated computational mechanics tools. The theoretical and applied study of materials and structures goes hand in hand with the analysis of the interactions between structures and environment, deriving both from natural and anthropic activities. Because of their generality in materials and structural modelling, the methods developed within the SSGE are also very useful in other technical-scientific areas, whenever it is necessary to understand and control the mechanical aspects in order to guarantee both design reliability and structural safety, functionality and durability.

B1 in the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages is required. Candidates who have earned a degree taught in English or come from countries whose official language is English do not need a certificate of English language competence.
IDEALEAGUE exchange program is an agreement between politecnico di milano , TUDelft, zurich institute , Drusten technichal university , and chalrmess university to grants students about 600 EUR per month for the purpose of research stay.

If it is being offered for free, half or 90% of scheduled calls won’t be respected by the potential students. In addition, this fee is refundable in case you are not satisfied from the call (it could happen! but we are responsible enough to react to such situations and deal with it in a very professional way). Also, this fee will be deducted (as a discount) in case you are going to order at least one service from us! (Fare enough!)
