Summer practice in international hospitals
For the specialisation General Medicine, the first three years are dedicated to preclinical training, and the last three years to clinical training. The preclinical cycle involves the study of fundamental subjects: anatomy, histology, biology, biochemistry, biophysics. For the past years, preclinical training has been updated acquiring a more and more pronounced clinical character, by correlating the information from preclinical subjects with their application into medical practice, and by introducing in the curriculum subjects such as NEUROSCIENCES and FIRST AID.
The aim is to provide graduates with the skills necessary for the quantitative analysis of the phenomena investigated in order to formulate conclusions that support decisions. To this end, teaching is structured in such a way as to complement the theoretical study with numerous laboratories and the possibility of carrying out internships in companies or public bodies.
The structure of an academic year is roughly as follows:
1. The winter semester starts in mid-September and ends approximately in mid-February, after the mid-term exams. Students have two weeks Christmas holiday and a week mid-term holiday.
2. The spring semester starts in late February and ends approximately at the beginning of July, after the summer exams. Students are entitled to three days Easter holiday, according to their faith.
3. Summer hospital practice and preparation of the dissertation for graduating students (20 working days, in July).
1. High school/ equivalent diploma or an affidavit for students who have not received their diploma until the deadline for receiving the files stating that, in case they are admitted, they will submit upon enrollment the original diploma (together with notarized copies and translations) until a certain date (the date is established depending on the country where the diploma was issued)

1. Studies are conducted entirely in English during the first three years (the pre-clinical cycle). Starting with the fourth year studies will be conducted in Romanian, consequently students have to be able to speak Romanian because they will have to talk to Romanian patients in hospital and few of them (especially, elder patients) will know English.
2. Student card: All the students receive a student ID-card once they have completed their registration. The student ID-card is issued at the respective secretariats. Students from the EU/EEA/the Swiss Confederation have the right to discounts on public transportation, based on their student ID-card.
